8th/9th DEC. BOLT HEAD to MANS SANDS nr BRIXHAM

Summary of last two days.

Walked into Salcombe, having struck camp, tent crisp with ice. Saw peregrine falcon on Sharp Tor. Sunny but cold day,  still airs.
Much of Salcombe felt like Fowey....expensive! Climbed hill find Spar as seafront expensive. Crossed to Mill Bay via ferry. Excellent dramatic coast to Prawle Pt. More subdued to Start Point and lighthouse. Pitched where dead bracken and nettles had died back near Tinsey Head, Beesands. Cold eve. Pasta cheese with pepper. Sleep with Start Point flashing through tent fabric.

9th Alot milder but overcast.Up and moving 7.50
Very tired with walking with steep ups and downs. Had headache and was thirsty all day.
Walked to Dartmouth,  much the same as Fowey,  Salcombe. Ferry across to Kingswear.
Ups and downs numerous,  tiring. Pitched Mans sands, on beach, lovely site three miles from Brixham.
Few dog walkers but not disturbed. Low phone batteries.
Noddles to eat.
Listened to chart show, made a change from Radio 4. Boy racer car kept flying down here and away, reving engine.
Will write up detail in book. To tired now.
