7th Oct . LAMBEETH FARM TO EAST PICKARD BAY (via Angle)

It was a very damp still morning. The tent was as wet as if it had rained all night. The sun was just up but it was a hazy and had no heat. Again no porridge so I made J cheese sandwich and I had bics.
I was very lethargic today and stayed that way,  I had diahorea and my stomach was churning. I belched and tentitivly farted my way along the over grown wet path which was obviously not as walked  as other sections of the coast path.
The pylons we were pitched under last night led to Pembroke Power Station but we saw little of it as the path was heavily shielding us from any decent view, shame as it is a welcome contrast to cliffs and sea.
We gained the road which led to the station but walked on away from the N power Station. Most of the refinaries are shielded by banks and trees and the most you see of them is a chimney or storage tank peeking over the tops.
We passed Pwllcrochan Church disturbing a fox in the church yard.
We now passed the largest refinery on the Haven - Chevron. This was probably the best view we were to get , the path taking us passed the jetties with the views to the northern shores of Milford Haven where we had gone through yesterday.
A strong almost intoxicating smell of petrol diesel ensured we knew what we were passing. The route floated  us passed more forts then followed the edge of Angle Bay. A single white Little Egret flew passed.
It all felt a slog today. My pack felt heavier and my right knee complained every time I went up hill or a single step. The Matrix scene was now close up as we walked below it.
We followed the fairly unwalked path to Angle were we attacked the shop which was well provisioned and did take away food. Chips and beans for me and egg bun and beans at a decent price. We sat slug like in the park connected to the small school , eating and trying to stay warm as we ate a couple of cheap lollies. I draped the tent over the park fencing scaring the locals into thinking we were taling up residence.
When we finally got going again we walked passed more victorian forts. Around West Pill it said on the map one of the island forts just off shore was a hotel - something out of a James Bond set.
We had to arrange transport for J to visit his girlfriend ,so I tried to find out about rail fares. The idea is he meets me at Machcynlleth , the place of that abduction of the little 5 year old April,  as we continue on the Glyndwrs Way. I have to walk back which I estimate to take about six days. J said he was going to try and slow me down somehow.
To get him a ticket to Newcastle on the day from Tenby would cost £160 , madness,  but an advance ticket was £55 to post to the Youth Hostel we were going to stay at in Manorbier on tuesday evening. It is not easy organising things on a phone as you are trying to walk.
We continued,  thankfully this stretch of coastline was interesting with old gun placements,  views of St Ann's Head of the Dale starvation day fame. It looked so close. I took s photo of J by the remains of East Block House but he had to wait until a ship exiting the Haven formed part of the background. We explored an old lookout which took a little climb down,  it wad shelered so we were tempted to stop there. J broke his mega street wise headphones, I was surprised they had lasted as long as they had.
We meandered a few more bays and miles deciding to stop and due to me not feeling to good at 5.30 at East Pickard Bay. We got water of questionable quality from one of the gullies between headlands. It was  not a bad pitch.  Due to me not feeling to good I had no tea meal leaving J to fend for himself. He told me later he was bored stiff that evening as I was out like a light.  J nipped up the cliff top for a signal to arrange his trip with Holly. Success! Apparently he had cheese sandwiches and was also asleep by 8.
