I woke about 5 , 5.15 ,5.30 ...... you get the picture! Eventually, although tired and feeling lethargic I dragged myself out of my cosy bed. The ginger I had started to take seemed to have settled my tum, but I still farted cautiously.
I stripped the bed noticing in the full length mirror how thin I looked, I could see my ribs and arms and legs looked thin, even on a soft matteress my hips ached when I had laid on my side. My bearded head looked massive and out if proportion. Maybe this is a joke mirror!
I went downstairs and had two large bowls of oat cluster and water , I did not feel hungry.
I was driven back to Fenwig by my host who was dressed in his bowls umpire garb, yes he was a bowls ympire and not some dodgy bod who liked dressing up. I met him later in Aberporth.
The walk today was the straight forward and easy going. The only difference to the journey was I walked the shore over boulders to the Penbryn Beach and tthe cafe having an end of season sale but I did not fancy a rubber ring or sun hat. They were alittle limited on the canned drinks - one tin of dandylion and burdock.
On reaching my pitch site beyond Cwmtydu I had a lovely sunset climbed into tent and slept with a belly of ginger and porridge.
4400 mile backpack of the Great British National Trails in one continuous walk .This includes Section One- 3700 miles of the National Trails of England and Wales , all 15 trails , Section 2- a 700 miles of the 4 Scottish Long Distant Paths. This is one walk , completed by linking trails by walking inbetween using lesser trails, lanes , etc.
