The day started over cast at eight as we headed to join the coast path .As we neared Dinas Head what was a mist drizzle turned to driven rain. We could of done without the Dinas Head route which became increasingly harder as we hit the west side of it, we were constantly blown off balance.
The coast again was rugged andit seem to take ages getting in ti Fishguard. Luckily the empty field sunday streets had a small nisa supermarket. We stocked up with goodies and sat in a bus shelter out of the rain eating to much sweet stuff to the extent of feeling sick.
It got worse, the rain increased and the wind helped it. We had a very physical dogged determined slog. I wish I could say I enjoyed The Carregwastad Point and the site of the French invasion in 1796 , the lighthouse and Strumble head which I renamed stumble f...g Head due the numerous times I fell or tripped. The rain ,wind blown ,made hard work harder. We eventually got to Pwll Deri about 4.30 and was relieved the warden let us in and booked us in. We were wet and alittle chilled. Spending the evening with fellow hostellers who cooked us a meal and pudding. Thanks to the two chaps who took pity on us poor fools who inflict masacistic pain on ourselves.
