5th JAN. FOLKESTONE to WYE ( Devils Kneading Trough resturant)

General over view because I am tired!

We had were down for the mega breakfast at 8 . We packed up and was walking by 9.45.
The North Downs was in clouds and a fine drizzle accompanied it for the first two hours. We could not see the channel tunnel train emerge as it was in fog. When it did clear the tone of the day was damp and dreary. Alot of the path was fairly muddy,  especially near Caesers Camp on castle hill. We seemed to swap lane for track,  sometimes on the Pilgrims Way then onto the North Downs.
It was not bad walking,  I just felt tired from two late nights and a cold.I had also developed a cough. The route meandered up and down over farm land,  passed radio masts above Etchinghill to Stowting.
Eventually we got to Wye Downs where due to a lack if water we asked at the Devils Kneading Trough resturant.Carol there let us pitch warning us about barking dogs next door if we were to active....no chance of that!
We got the tent up on leaf covered spot next to the building....dogs barking until they wire themselves out.
We had cheese and oatcakes plus a couple of teas. J finished the book I got him for xmas. I listened to radio 4 until doing blog and then a cuppa before bed. Seems Moniqye and boys are suffering from colds too!
