We started about 11. We tore ourselves aeay from the relative comfort of the Travelodge to walk the White Way , a relativelyquite lane north to Chipping Campden and startof the Cotseolds Way.
The sun shone and a thaw caused sreams of eater to pour down the roads. The compact snow was awkward going.
We we via numerous villages, passed paddock after paddock, horse after horse. This seemed a very concervative are, Hunts country ...Viva le Chasse!
It was a slog but even though we were bored it got us on.
We thought we would be pitching incognito as we had a couple of refusals of pitch until Kineton.
A lady was ealking her ponies downthe road and we asked her. We were pleased to be put in a dry stable. It had rained a couple of times during the day and was due heavy down pours later. A dry tent we did not need to pitch.
Ee were invited in for a salmon filo pastryand spent a pleasant evening drinking whiskey with Maurice and Ali. Maurice a saddler. After desert and a cuppa we retired some what relaxed to our cosy stable.
