WORK FINISHED - WORK BEGINS

Hectic past few days . I ended up regretting working nights the past few days, but it did enable me to do a bit of paper work and make various lists of things lists that seemed to get longer, and say a few goodbyes. To those I missed - Goodbye!

After a ten hour shift 10pm to 8am I picked up J.

There was a big push by the AGE UK team, Hannah and Karen, who pushed the walk and for getting a few interviews- whizzed down to York for MINSTER FM radio with Tracey Gee, who hopes to do a monthly report for the duration . Then back home for photos for local papers, then off to BBC Tees for a live interview for us both for ' drive time' . No major mistakes , but so tempted to do something silly.

On return I got the van waxed and put into the garage for storage- my trusty Sooty van will be much missed.

Gear gathered for packing tomorrow morning , then train to Hessle and the start of the first National Trail by myself - The Yorkshire Wolds Way and all the planning is put to the test.

The lack of sleep will no doubt hit me , but it will be a short day tomorrow.

Thank you to all my North Yorkshire County Council  colleagues for being so good to me , especially the Greyfriars team , they will be missed and am proud to say are a great example of what elderly carers should be , caring. All the best to the residents at Greyfriars , many a friend made.

Keep watching this space.

A typical cheesy photo by us for a great sock by a British company H J HALL.
