Leaving Thornham I was sad to leave the coast and head inland via lane for about a mile. There was Titchwell nature reserve which would of suited more and would of kept me on the coast. But no, I had to head back to Peddars sort of territory for about 3.5 miles. I wad tempted to pound the A149 to the reserve visitor centre but headed inland as the Trail dictated.
As it was the route was not to bad, a steady up had me stripping off my Snugpak and rolling up my sleeves, seems ages since I done that. The lane turned to run parallel with the A149 to take me past Manor Farm sheds. There were signs of the sugar beet harvest but what impressed me most was the two wind generators and solar panels...farmers becoming eco friendly...wow!
The hedges were full of birds, yellowhammers and bramblings flitted infront of me.
As I returned back to the coast I put up a barn owl. These were to be a feature later on also. I entered Brancaster.
